Anyone know of any literature dealers with a stock of these? Looking for bound volumes of the AP, also Weekly Philatelic Gossip, Mekeels, etc. I have picked some up on ebay and AbeBooks.

I am aware of some of the websites of literature dealers; I can never find any of these and come up blank when doing a search. These have to be out there someplace. Any suggestions?

Phil Bansner usually has bound periodicals for sale. Funky search engine, though.

Hartmnn has some of what I am looking for. The issue is usually these dealers want to sell full runs for big bucks. May check with him directly.

Banser has a website that makes no sense to me. Never has. I have never been able to find anything on it. You enter something you know you should be able to get a return on and get 'no match'. I think I have emailed him in the past and never heard back.

I agree that Bansner's website is cloogey, but I've always had good communication with him. Go to the wildcard search field and search "periodical"--you'll get 75 hits including some bound issues (mainly the United States Specialist but some others).

Have you tried reaching out to Philatelic Libraries? I'm a life member of the Western Philatelic Library and it's a good library, they sell there extra material. I know there is one in Colorado and most are APS members so you might check the APS web page.

I've used Banners for years and find it easy to use. You may need to search a couple of ways to find what you want, but I do that anyway on a couple of sites. Good luck.

What is 'Banners'? Not familiar with that one.

I did find some stuff I may take a harder look at by following your suggestion on Banser's site. Thanks.

I tried in the past connecting with both Philatelic Libraries, no response at all. I think there is a thread I started on here re this and despite the intervention of another member who had a contact at the WPL I still never heard back.

I think "Banners" is autocorrect for "Bansner."

The Postal History Foundation Library has a number of books for sale as well. This may be one of the library references mentioned earlier.

The link is http://www.postalhistoryfoundation....y-sales.html

At least all titles are priced and the date of the edition is noted, something missing at the APRL listing.

In the first post of this thread Stamps1962 mentioned the Weekly philatelic Gossip. Around Nov 1 1941 thru May 8 1943, they included a folio centerfold of their reprint of John N. Luff's The Postage Stamps of the United States. I say around because my first folio has no date inside the fold out like all the others do. My first page is shown below.
Apparently stapled in the center of the Weekly Gossip, my set was three hole punched. I've kept them in a 1 round ring binder, but it requires care when turning pages. The binder is too small for them, the folios are 11.5" x *.5". I've decided to make a book block of the folios after repairs either by a perfect bind or sewn signatures.
My question is does anyone have a photo of a Weekly Philatelic Gossip cover? I want to make a slip case for the finished book, and thought I'd line it with facsimiles of the magazine covers. Or at least in the logo's color. Whatcha Got ?
