That's just a link to a generic login page. It's unclear what credentials you're supposed to use at the link above. APS credentials do not work. Maybe the page looks different if you are an APRL member and already logged in. Here is a link to the APRL homepage... which has no mention of the sale... or how to get an APRL account. http://stamps.org/about-the-libraryNone of the pages I could find, including the "My Library Account" page have ANY information on how to get said account. Sigh. It shouldn't have to be that hard. When you make people have to hunt for how to participate or get an account, you have failed as an organization in your communication. |

Same thing. That's just a generic unbranded login page with no links on how to actually get an account. It's also not branded APRL or APS... to the visitor that stumbles across it, what's to say it isn't a phishing attempt?
You're seeing things differently presumably because you are logged in.
I've emailed Scott about it. |

Dan --
When I first clicked on the link, I experienced the same generic page. I re-tested and got through to the David Straight Philatelic Union page (I will email you an image of the page). I even logged out of the site and tried again to make sure it was not account sensitive and anyone should be able to access the site.
Right now, we believe it was a system issue with the host, but we are exploring further to confirm.

The OP edited his original post and changed the link, which originally was a link to the book sale page. As of right now, all of the above links (other than the one I posted) still just take me to a generic login page with no context.
Can someone please post a link to the actual APRL book sale? |

It is the actual link, which worked (see the email I sent you) and now does not seem to be working again. We are trying to determine what is causing the link to redirect to a login page.
Please be patient with us and we will get it resolved. I apologize for any difficulties. |

For those who are interested, this is a way to look at the available books right now: 1. Go to http://catalog.stamplibrary.org2. Click on "Search duplicate items for sale" on the right side of the screen 3. Then either enter a keyword or click "Submit Query" to browse all available books Thanks for bearing with us and we are working on addressing the glitch. And please, buy some books! |

Scott, does the list linked to represent all the books for sale or just the ones felt most likely to sell? I would be interested in bound volume of older philatelic general publications and of the AP and I do not see anything like that on the sales list.
The site runs very slowly, at least for me. Thanks for the assistance. |

Scott:
It would be helpful if in the future, the people preparing these lists would ....
1) Include prices on all items. It's a turn-off to have to write and email and wait.
2) Include the publication date and/or edition. Many of these titles have different dates and that can make a difference in desirability.
While many entries had this information, some did not.

"Scott, does the list linked to represent all the books for sale or just the ones felt most likely to sell? I would be interested in bound volume of older philatelic general publications and of the AP and I do not see anything like that on the sales list." The list is everything we've had time to add so far. You can contact us at library@stamps.org or 814-933-3803 and let us know what you're looking for. We have many back issues of the AP available, some bound, and these are not yet listed on the website.
"1) Include prices on all items. It's a turn-off to have to write and email and wait." We're adding things as fast as we can, and we go back and add prices as time permits. This system is new, so we appreciate your patience, and we always try to get back to people within one business day about pricing and shipping.
"2) Include the publication date and/or edition. Many of these titles have different dates and that can make a difference in desirability." Thank you for this feedback. This should certainly be included in all listings, and I'll make sure my staff understands the importance of including this.
Thank you all for searching the listings and for the feedback!
