I saw this floral stamp design a couple of days ago in the park of a small town near me. It was commissioned to celebrate our monarch's 90th birthday back in April, but I've only just visited the park. Being a 1p stamp, the design would have been a mauve background with a pale mauve head.

Tim - cool machine

Me and my brother have both been updating a few country collections - New Zealand, Egypt and Mauritius. Later we were trading stamps between us from the same countries. Good fun

I found a copy of the actual Saturday Evening Post issue at a flea market shop (sells a lot of estate stuff). I plan to frame it.

Can you imagine the reaction today in popular social media?

I created a prototype album page for my mini-sheets. I am taking the descriptions from USPS announcements. I plan to use corner mounts rather than regular mounts.

The paper is Domtar EarthChoices Cream 28lb/70lb paper in protective sleeves. I decided to not three hole punch pages to give more room especially since in protective sleeves. I will likely be putting them back to back in sleeves.

I've been doing what I enjoy most, sorting, organizing and mounting a large bulk lot. Just got done going through the Ethiopia and Albania stamps from that lot, Cape Verde and Afghanistan are next.

Probably the small boy in me who never had any stamps to fit in the "Abyssinia" section of his kiddie Woolworth's album, but I still find Ethiopian stamps incredibly exotic. Speaking of which, put a selection of Laotian stamps that I'd bought onto quadrille pages. Including a couple of the elephant stamps that I remembered from the early '60s.

I'm doing the same - 2 liters of unsorted stamps from Italy. And transferring my Italy collection from stockbook to Vario pages at the same go. Quite time consuming - and most enjoyable!

Entering inventory information into EzStamp for my WW collection. Scanning stamps without an image (in EzStamp) to send on to Mariost. Using AlbumGen to make pages for my US Great Americans tagging varieties.

We had a Christmas quiz at one of my local philatelic societies, and I won the prize - a bottle of Rioja - with a score of 17/20

Saving it for Christmas dinner with the folks.
