I worked yesterday scanning stamps for my Canadian inventory and today I am building 7 pages for the first 49 Canadian stamps to add varieties. I am expecting a couple in the mail and want to have pages waiting for them. In between, when I need a break, I am playing the old Command and Conquer games. lol |

I spent Saturday as a day visitor at the South African Collector's Society meeting near Coventry in the UK. It was full of great presentations and people passionate about their subject who were more than happy to share this enthusiasm and knowledge. A bit like this forum, really... |

So far today: made up all my ebay orders. Took 4 hours. Do this twice weekly and then deliver them to the local Devonport Post Office and have them hand cancelled. Staff all know me and get out the special Devonport Lighthouse philatelic canceller from the top drawer of the filing cabinet without me asking. This afternoon I've kept busy approving listings for my Stamps Sites Directory (www.stampsites.info), and checked my PayPal balance to see how much I can spend on more stamps. |

I had purchased some USPS souvenir cards from ebay (got a bunch) and was sorting them. They were inexpensive. I usually go through the ebay collections/lots category and appears to be a lot of material ending in the mid-90's meaning collectors/accumulator collections from that period are now hitting the market. |

Today I went to a stamp auction. There are a few stamp clubs in driving distance from me, and one of them had a stamp auction today. I've never been to it before, and it seems to be a smaller club compared to the one I belong to. There weren't a lot of competition on most of the items, so I walked away with quite a bit of material to keep me entertained. The most interesting lot was an old Schaubeck-album that was falling apart, with a lot of stamps inside of it. Surprisingly enough nobody else bid on it, so I got a good price. I also picked up some material from Finland, San Marino and a few other countries.
I'm considering doing the same next week, another local stamp club is having an auction. The drive is a bit longer though, so haven't made a decision yet. |

Yobo - Congratulations on that old album, sounds most interesting! Where is the auction next weekend?
I've completed an update on my Israel collection the last few days. Israel is not among my favourite areas, so now I am eager to work on Japan. |

Today, I made a page for my Shanghai stamps. Any suggestions for improvements are welcome before I copy it onto better paper. |

Received my 2nd ISWSC swap circuit packet. Pulled stamps for my collection; added stamps to the packet from my trading material. Mailed packet. Turn around time = 2 days; yea me!
And it was the first time I ever mailed something to Hong Kong. |
