Gmot, you have an Ecuador 173 unused you plan on listing? Down to literally 40 or so stamps I'd like to find to complete Ecuador; all of which I've never seen listed.

JRockne, yes, you can find a good deal of both singles and sets on Hipstamp. Just my personal preference of course but tend to see more dealers on Hip so you generally don't see a lot of folks that think they have crazy valuable material listed at insane prices like you sometimes see on ebay. There are exceptions to every rule, of course.

Today was another mundane day; did the usual search for newly listed Ecuador material on Hip/EBay/Delcampe/APS to no avail but found a few commons from Egypt/Ceylon/Australia that will fill holes!

@andyrich, I haven't gone through the Ecuador yet, hoping to get to it next week. There's a lot there, but needs a good sorting to figure it all out. Will let you know if a 173 is in there! I have been finding the Latin American stuff I list sells best of any area, next to Spain.

It is odd how some of the most elusive stamps can be relatively inexpensive...

1) Finished mounting the commemoratives in Volume 2 of my Stanley Gibbons Windsor album.

2) Telling myself, "No, you don't need to start collecting another area."

First time I have touched my collection in ages yesterday, an unfortunate by-product of working every available minute of this pandemic as an emergency vehicle repairer here in the UK. Spent the afternoon sorting through a large envelope of Hungary up to the 60s.
A lot of very good condition postally used stamps with a good number of complete sets put together.

Yesterday I discovered a small book of Central America, Seebecks, HBNC, been many years since I looked at them. Not sure where to start lol. I know collectors look down on Seebecks but their flawed sales strategy aside I always did think they used good paper and were finely printed.

Every morning. Twenty five minutes ( I set a timer) I organize. If I would stay with a single system I could look at my shelf and be astounded. Alas, I keep coming up with "better ways to do it."

But not in 2021! Vowing to buy no more albums, stock books, collections or hoards and only label and place the stamps I have on the vario sheet where they belong.

Oh, what's that? Someone's listing a lighthouse hingeless album on ebay still in the wrapper?!

News to me.
I think they are fabulous.
Been outbid on several occasions.
Ignore the naysayers.

Yes second ed. I wonder if any of the old articles written or produced by Bill Welch are still kicking around?
Would be interesting reading.

I have working on some custom Machin pages. I started with a smaller set (Northern Ireland) to refine the style. My goal was something different than the endless list in denomination order so went with a chronological approach. The style is based upon Steiner but with more information and includes SG numbers.

After printing, mounting, and reviewing, I have already made some changes on heading information, font size, etc. It takes a little more work to organize by year/printer-print method.
