Mounted classic Russia to 1940, including back of book, and I threw in the two sets of German occupation stamps from WWII. Wound up being 80 pages and only 525 stamps, but it was really enjoyable. |

Some of the modern Iceland stamps ordered directly from Iceland Post I received last week and put into my stamp binder. Here are two - a souvenir sheet with the 2016 Pourquoi-pas stamp commemorating a shipwreck, and a nice cancel on one of the first tractors used in Iceland issued in 2018. |

Spent a couple of hours sorting and adding Third Reich stamps to my album.
Discovered a new way of mounting stamps to my album...glue stick. The glue stick works like gang busters! I suspect the glue stick moisture activates the adhesive on mounts. I conducted a test with a mount and glue stick to a loose leaf paper. I let the mount "dry" overnight and tried to remove it in the morning. When trying to peal it off, paper came off the loose leaf so I have verified how well it works.
The problem I have with water and mounts is that I don't have consistency from mount to mount, either there was too much moisture or too little. Too much moisture and the mount doesn't stick well or too little the mount doesn't adhere thoroughly.. So you have to get it just right.
Im waiting on my German stamps to arrive from Nordfrim along with a German Empire to Third Reich catalogue. They should arrive any day now.

I finished sorting my Austrian issues from 1883-1907. I discovered that a significant amount of my 1899s were actually from 1901 and that I had mistakenly mixed in some heller denominations in with the 1890-96 issues. I have far more fun with my Austrian stamps than any other. |

CoffeeRules: I use hinges on my mounts. There are several discussions on this board about this and other methods. |

I ordered some missing stamps for my US back of book. While doing so found a really nice Vatican set from the 1940's on the cheap, so it is now on the way.
Added more to my online collection database, that should be done in about 5 years, LOL. Ok it will never be done. LOL. |

I realized that my mint New South Wales SG 89 is actually a trimmed newer 6d. Still a beautiful stamp with or without perfs. The colour on these square issues is also very difficult to nail down. |

I sorted through some mixed WW lots and was able to add some issues to my main collecting areas. I also sorted out an Austrian lot, and also sorted most of my Belgian railway parcel posts. |

Finally mounted St. Helena to St. Vincent. Had been spending several days sorting and cataloging more Russia and pulled all 1941 to 1971 pages from the album to prepare to remount 1940s and perhaps some of the 1950s. Dozens of stamps from these decades have sufficient value to justify remount sooner than later.
Update: 528 stamps was the count for St. Helena to St. Vincent and another 180 for Lithuania mounted today.
Update update: Ran out of 28mm mounts in the middle of Bohemia and Moravia. Time to print more pages and lay out more stamps while waiting for my mounts to arrive. |

Printed pages and laid out stamps for:
Samoa Sarawak Saseno Senegal Senegambia & Niger Seychelles Siberia Sierra Leone
and getting ready to print:
Reunion Singapore Somali Coast Somaliland Protectorate Southern Nigeria Southern Rhodesia South Russia
while waiting for my mount order to arrive.
I even mounted a handful more for Sardinia. They are likely fakes, but I filled some spaces. |
