I have been rethinking my custom Machin pages. I finished the first pass of my chronological album and in order to keep it reasonable I have been ignoring some variations. I may punt and to back to a chronological format but by order of denomination.

I got slapped around at two auctions at the same time. I only came home with one lot and had to give up on about 15. I am not seeing demand fade at all. I think I overpaid for what I did manage. A MNH block of four 1 cent Canadian Jubilees.

Angore- have you posted any images of your Machin collection in SCF? I'd love to see how you've organized your collection, how they are mounted or displayed, and how your position your varieties within the collection.

If not, perhaps you might consider posting in a new, fresh post?

Yes, I posted images of pages in early 2022 based upon the date of post of the images in the uploaded images view. I have finished sterling and regionals but regular has been tougher since I had wanted to put in date order. I took a break to work on AFSEC pages.

However, I cannot find the posts.

NSK, the post I thought Shermae was something more complete.

Here are the images that should be in the post that I cannot fimd/ I had a post on Sterling issues and one on regionals.

My GB decimal pages total 52 but have not printed them yet due to procrastination in not sure on final format. I have to add mini sjeets and some prestige booklets.

Set

example. I collect to SG Concise for regionals.

Over the past week or so, I've been merging more unidentified stamps from the huge giveaway into my ordered glassines. The best part is when I find a stamp I don't already have. I still have many large groups to do and they will take multiple days each. Also waiting on mounts that I ordered months ago. Can't wait to start mounting (and counting again).

I've been creating pages for my Argentina collection. I'm using a 12x12" scrapbook and using stampworld's catalogue to put them in order by decade and handwriting the captions.

I made a map of Argentina's provinces to go with this 1966 sheet (still need to centre it on the page, but I'll get to that eventually!)

And here's a part of another page. I've been creating my own layouts based on sets, and aside from having to make room for some minisheets, I've mostly been able to keep them in strictly chronological rows.

I've got all the pages made up through the 1970s. I don't have enough 80s and onward to bother with trying to arrange yet, so I'm holding off on those for a bit whilst I fill out the pages I already have.

Early last week, I bought Edifil's basic catalogue in Burgos.
The catalogue costs only € 16, but shipping from Spain within the EU is at least € 21. I had something to read during the wait at Madrid Airport and on the flight home.

The web told me there were two philatelic stores in or near the historic centre of Burgos. There was no trace of the one in the old town. But the other one just outside the old town still existed.

I also found a shop in Palencia. It had a for-sale sign in the window. It, still, was open.

Eva - welcome. It's a delight to see proper, homemade pages that use real handwriting and express your personality. Such a lovely contrast to the dull pages printed from the web or bought from album manufacturers. Carry on!
