Trying to put together my 'want lists' for the April Northeast show. Going for some FDC's & Mint stationary pieces. First thing is to 'trash' all my little notes & consolidate. (Not an as easy task as I thought)

Geoff- no one has mentioned it yet but I will (especially as a devoted BC collector)- that's a beautiful complete page of high-quality Seychelles stamps. Great job!

Shermae - thank you. I shan't be eating for a week, of course! I've reverted to BC a little because much of the remaining French stuff is out of reach for me.

A very nice page Geoff

I always avoided the KE7 stamps because they were too expensive and that there are generally two different colour schemes for many colonies. From memory it had something to do with the UPU.

That said I'm not a big collector of QV stamps either. Just a couple of countries, GB and New South Wales principally.

The Seychelles was just about doable for me, helped by its late start as an issuing entity. But British Guiana …

Went to a local show today, came home with a bunch of stuff, mostly Australia, Norfolk Island and a few others. Mostly just sat down at tables and pulled a country and bought everything they had that I needed.

I watch football once a year. My annual tradition is to watch the Superbowl and soak stamps from the last 12 months of mail. One thing that I enjoyed seeing was being reminded of the nice stamps the APS Stamp Store used to use on their shipments (top, from March 2023). For the last 6 months or so, they have been using meters instead of real stamps (bottom, from February 2024).

Went to the MSDA Stamp Show in Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend. Of course, I spent way too much and will have to answer to my CFO wife

Shout out to Fox River Stamps, Tiger Collectibles, First Century Stamps and KS Philatelics. You guys have some great stock and were all very professional.

After a laborious work of collecting data and images, comparing opinions and designing pages, I finished putting together the Belgian Buzin Birds series.

Put some early Azerbaijan issues in the album, after studying the information in this forum for counterfeits. Mine all appear to be genuine, but I am keeping the duplicates for further study if I get more information later. Then started taking some Argentine issues out of an ancient Coronet Deluxe album and checking them for perfs and watermarks during identification. Laborious, but my early Argentina collection is slowly growing!
