Walkman82, Thanks. I just like to see how others do it since there is more than one way. |

dkabq8, your organizational prowess is inspiring! As I am a clutterer and philatelist, your collection's storage and shelf display is the top of the mountain for me ... someday! |

@ Blaamand, Yirmeyahu
Thanks. I was inspired by other collections that I have seen on SCF. Couple that inspiration with some very helpful SCF threads regarding storing WW collections and my AR/OC nature, and lo and behold, a neat and tidy collection.

I placed bids on six Japanese postcards inscribed in Esperanto on ebay and won two of them. The one with the best picture sold for $10 over my maximum bid, but I won the one with the most interesting inscription. |

this morning, I placed six bids on the Rasdale auction. Have not bought from them in many years, so this is kind of a test. Outbid on one of the lots early this afternoon. |

Picked up this collection - should keep me busy for a while (actually got it Wed evening) Nothing amazing so far but couldn't beat the price. Surprised it sat there for 3 days before I even saw it |

You got a great deal, even if the albums were empty.
Somebody had no clue what it was worth or what to do with it. Makes me feel sorry for the person that spent so many hours putting it all together. It obviously was not the seller. |

@Mike33 - wow, hope you find a lot of what really matters - enjoyment Recently I've been having lots of enjoyment in a hotel room in Rio de Janeiro. Very slow progress with France, think I'll blame it on the caprinha's (=Brazilian drink), they are simply to tasty. (And no, you don't need to ask, it's only stamp related activities ongoing in my room.... ) |

Trying to plate an 1851 1c Franklin I bought from a picture that has NO resolution. The stamp is too ugly to post. I can see it better by zooming away from it than closer up. It would be an easy plate if I had a good scan of it. Should be less than 10 choices for position. I hate waiting. |

Blaamand,
I would be afraid to travel with a collection and assorted supplies. |
