The good: After 60+ years of collecting I have finally completed filling in EVERY space in an album. The bad: The album is my Davo U.S. Volume II which covers 1946 to 1970 which means the album itself is more valuable than the stamps therein. |

I placed an order on the 24th with Subway and they came back with over the half the items (some common mount sizes) as out of stock. I ended up cancelling the order. |

@angore I Reccomend buying your mounts from globalstamps.com The prices are phenomenal and the package is shipped quickly and covered in stamps. They almost never are out of mount sizes. |

Believe it or not, I'm going through a US mixture that I bought in 1969! It was 50 pounds for $16 as I recall. I've been making up calendar pages and mounting worldwide stamps with readable date cancels on, or near, the stamp. The mixture has lots of prexies, especially the 1¢ in strips that usually have the cancel pretty well centered on one of the stamps. Similar to my postmark cancel collection of Canada, this will probably never be worth anything but it's fun and cheap! |

I actually checked Global along with others but they did not have one accessory I wanted. Subway had come a long way in stocking but surprised they would be out around this time of year. I ended getting both items from Wizard Coin off Amazon and got confirmation of shipment already. The mounts will wait. |

For the first time in over 20 years, I soaked some on-paper stamps.
Also discovered that the expensive 32 lb., 25% cotton paper that sits around unused--as it always jams up my laser printer--is absolutely superb for use as drying book blotters. Today's batch of stamps is looking excellent. I'm glad the paper turned out to be good for something. |

Multiple things today 1) creating 2 more pages for my Canada 1 stamps, using a commercial software that works well for me since I import my stamps from my other software inventory and positioning my stamps on the pages 2) picked up at the PO (post office)some new stamps bought on Eb from Canada 3) found a nice thread on postmarks and presented 2 of my WW stamps for viewing, with a chat with a stamp friend on SCF.....life goes on - I even had time to do my Jog (daily). ! |
