Worked on Part 3 - WWII Stamps.....today we are in Germany semi-postals and my father bought in 1974 this collection and today 95-96% of stamps were MNH-VF !! with a good valuation and they are quite nice even if it was Wartime - |

I personally think that Germany made gorgeous stamps during that time frame.

Sorry. I don't have it and don't really collect those stamps, but I find the second one from the top looks really pretty.
Sorry for the confusion. |

Stamping101 The second stamp on the right, up there besides the title is a semi-postal, 1945, 6p + 14p vio brown,Anton Gunther, Count of Oldenburg, MNH-VF. My question was misinterpreted - Cheers Rene |

Bummer. Am on train and realized that I forgot to bring along a Showgard mount. I used a large mount so that the stamp won't move while I'm dragging the handheld microscope over it. Impossible otherwise with all the bouncing!

René, Beautiful stamps, thanks for sharing I understand you prefer MNH, so I'll keep that in mind when picking the frenchies for you. Personally I find the only stamp in your selection with proper postmark more attractive, particularly when knowing it was postmarked outside the borders of present day Germany, but I guess I'm outside mainstream with my weird preference. Keep sharing with us! |

I've been updating my Sweden collection a bit, working myself through an album of Swedish stamps. And I've been going through this big pile of Danish covers. Mostly looking for covers from 1979, but I put aside anything I find interesting.

Put together this page of what I call singular position stamps. The recut bust 47R6 and recut button 10R2L are the only positions with those recuts. 92L2L is a triple transfer and 92L1L is the "line through Three Cents" dramatic double transfer. Both of these positions are featured with illustrations in the Carroll Chase book. |

It was a busy weekend but I was cleaning up my excel inventory file, made several album pages for my Mystic albums, and sorted a bunch of mounts in a glassine by size. |
