I recently had a new experience on ebay. I had a seller block me from after making an offer on an item that was listed as buy it now or make your best offer. Georgetownlaw has blocked me from making a second offer, as well as from emails in response to his actions, and from buying items in his auctions. Is there a way to report his behavior? I have 100% feedback from hundreds of transactions. He is acting like a real butt head.

You are better off not buying from this seller; there is a history of mis-described listings.

Granted the seller is being a major jerk and someone forgot to teach him manners. But isn't he allowed to be one? Apparently his idea of making an offer is something way above his asking price.

Agree with 51 Studebaker/Don , he has been a problem for others back on the old ebay chat board and he likes to scare people by claiming he is going to sue .

He is indeed a total jerk. I tried bidding on n item he had last year and found I'd been blocked. Interesting because I NEVER dealt with him before. I was told by someone that he trolls discussion boards and if he can identify someone complaining about an ebay deal he will block them. He never replied to reply to queries about my being blocked. I reported him and got a formatted reply.

Wonder if he really is an attorney- that would figure..

I had a different seller block me because I bought a lot of stamps from him and sold some of the duplicates. There are a lot of weird people on ebay. I would not let it bother you.

As Dr Johnson said: "he did not mean to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney".

I got blocked for making a very reasonable offer to someone and asking if their counter offer could include the shipping. The item sat unsold for a couple more months after that too :)

I was blocked by the very same seller about two years ago because I asked a question about one of his auctions. I was a newbie then, so it wasn't even a challenging question.

And he made it impossible to ask what happened or to remedy it.

Unreasonable? Absolutely. Human beings are like that sometimes.

As far as reporting him to ebay, why? Sellers are permitted to block buyers for any reason. Sometimes a pre-emptive block prevents future headaches (I'm not implying that was the case in this situation).

Just as buyers are not forced to purchase from any particular seller, sellers are not obligated to sell to all buyers.

As a seller I find low ball best offers ie. 10-20% annoying, the bidder is insulting either my material or my pricing but I'm an adult so I just ignore them. One fellow made a couple 10% bids and then sent me a message saying I was very rude for not responding. He got blocked!

If I get an offer at 60% I may counter but if you are going to offer less than 50% I wouldn't bother.

As for reporting a seller for blocking you your just wasting electrons, that is one right that sellers have and will never give up and believe me we need it.

The sad part is it is his loss. The item was going to be added to my coil exhibit that won a large gold at NY 2016. I will just spend my money somewhere else.
