Wow, Cool. Thanks Gang. I knew I came to the right place. Not to cut this short but the jays are playing and I dont want to miss it. My plan is to upload everything tomorrow. He has a full binder and a book with some old wutemburg mint stamps a few sheets and a whole bunch of covers. I really appreciate all the advise on these. Its been fun sniffing through them all. Imagine the places these things had seen. Well, less the cupboard they have been in for the past few decades :) Ill get some close ups of some of them tomorrow too.

I am curious about the blue french stamp on the second page second row fourth stamp in. I read its a Prussian Blue which could be rare? Probably not but I am curious on how one could tell.
Mike

ah....the Prussian blue. I've been wondering about that one many times myself - as has most other French stamp collectors I presume! In general the Prussian blue will be much more prominent blue than yours, and it's a delicate color blue. Once you'll see it you'll remember it. Try google!

Hello Mike,

First and second page on a scanner would be great.

Best regards

Sylvain

There's also a 1c on cobalt which is also desirable, but this one doesn't look blue enough. A close-up would be good!
