Guess I need to find a different way to hold the stamp while scanning

The only other way would be with the stamp on the platen. May have to straighten the stamp after scanning. I use Irfan View (32bit) If fact, almost every time. But I have no 102 card lines on my stamps.

Chris,

You might try the app I wrote to crop and straighten scans. You can download it here.

Let's get together and invent a black 'sticky page'! A ruled, black page which has a light coat of an adhesive with something like they use on Post It Notes. We could then arrange our stamps on the page straight, scan, and then remove the stamps without any residue on stamp.
