Synagogue In Regensburg - Poster Stamp From 1912.

Nice cinderella! Haven't seen this one before. Do you know if it is from a sheet printed with stamps of different synagogues or buildings? Have you seen similar labels?

Nice cinderella. Sadly, the synagogue itself was destroyed by the Nazis on Kristallnacht, Nov 9, 1938.

@ bookbndrbob - I think that this poster stamp was single-issued, because I have seen only particulary this cinderella (Regensburg) several times, on different places, and never any other which will suggests that a complete set was issued.

Also, the date mentioned on it (29. August 1912) was a date of the inauguration of the new Synagogue, so it looks that that this stamp has been issued especially for that ocassion.

@ TheArtfulHinger - Sadly, like almost all wonderful synagogues in Europe.
