Here is a recent purchase. Let me know what you guys think.
I know it should have the full cover and does not, but an interesting piece nonetheless.
Scott 27d. Any idea on the value of this piece?
I am hoping I did not pay too much but I really wanted it.

Don't know the value, but for what it is worth, all of the known bisects of this stamp were mailed from New Brunswick or Nova Scotia, according to Robson Lowe.

Unfortunately any bisect on piece with a cork cancel and no datestamp is suspicious.

I, personally, doubt that this bisected stamp originated on the paper to which it is attached. There are too many inconsistencies where the cancellation ties the stamp to the paper. I suspect that, if the stamp is slightly lifted the cancel along the bisected side will extend under the stamp.

I always hesitate with bisects. The cancel on this one seems to be heavy towards bottom of stamp and stops very abruptly without continuing on to the cover.
