horizontal bar is missing from overprint,
is this an inverted V?

It is very hard to tell from you scan, but I would think it is a capital A that is very under inked. A much higher resolution scan might give the answer.

Wow, that was fast work! I think I see a bit of black on the left leg of the "A". Also looks like the second "t" has an appendage to it. I believe most of it is to be blamed on the printing technique of the day and on poor inking. Can you tell us which stamp this is, or show us a picture of the entire stamp?

Lower is the Thai surcharge "raka neung att"
