The design is the same as the 1876 but I don't see it listed. All the 2c stamps appear to be orange - moreover this one is imperf with no watermark.

I'm guessing it must be from postal stationery. The paper is thin, similar to a normal stamp, and white.

Anyone seen one before?

Ringo, I've not seen this one before but it does have all the hallmarks of a postal stationery cutout.

Hi Ringo,

This 2 cents stamp design was used on wrappers from 1884 and on post cards from 1892.
