The attached has some kind of marking. I cannot tell if under or on the surface of the glue. It is on multiple mint stamps of 1N26 - 1N37. Forgeries? Some kind of official postal marking? Certification? There appears to be some kind of signature scrawl to the left.

Very common in Europe when I was a kid. It is a dealer or collector marking.

Looks like an "expertisers mark"
Sometimes referred to at auction as "signed"

You may wish to wander around in here..

Rod, I am not disputing what you said, but in the 50's lots of dealers and collectors did this, especially when the stamps where bought from circuit books. I believe it was meant to be a security mark.

Here are some answers:

hold your stamp against the light, if there is no 2 designs but 1, then it's ink getting through paper.

It appears to be a set off, freshly printed sheet was set on stack of same, causing some of the ink to adhere to the back of the sheet on top. That is why it is a reverse image.

Looks like there are two signatures on the back of the shown stamp . One in pencil and one stamped in ink .

@wheelman, you may already have confirmed it, but for the quick answer, the expert mark is PAPE (Heinz Pape). It does not carry much weight as the genuine handstamp was used by others. There are forgeries of the mark as well, which appears to be the case here.
