Suggestion: Please try to Identify the stamp before posting,
makes it easier for others to assist.

Queen Elizabeth 3½d 1953

Nothing amiss, you have probably been mistaken by the Postmark/s, it can play tricks with your eyes.
Easily proven, just take a decent scan of each, crop the image to the design borders,
then using your mouse, toggle between the images.

These exist with flaws and varieties but design remained consistent.

It does look different, but I'm sure it isn't. I think it's because the stamp on the left is off centre, with the perfs at the bottom close to the print. The one on the right is upward shifted, so they appear not to line up.

I think it is just the way the stamps were scanned and agree with rod222.

The 4 recognised shades of the 3½d from the recent Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue - 2015. The neck may seem longer but the two used stamps shown by labprofess have the same size neck. The entire set from 1953-56 show all the necks are of the same size.
