That's Ok Paul
OK here, I'll be back soon,
Cannot make out any Pmk on the Black Swan

Postal Markings
Barred Letter
First Issued 1886
12 are known

"G" = Guildford

Guildford is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, 12 km northeast of the city centre within the City of Swan. Guildford was founded in 1829 as one of the earliest settlements of the Swan River Colony. It is one of only three towns in the metropolitan area listed on the Register of the National Trust.

-------------------------

Barred 2 (note there is evidence of a second strike right hand side)

I can only guess it is a 12 bar (other than a 15 bar 1859) or (9 Bar 1870)
If 12 Bar PERTH 1877

You need a member to run it through "reveal"

It looks like a 15 Bar Numeral (It could be any number 1 through36)

Rod,

I think perforated twice in the vertical. OK to me.

I'll take your answer John, but nonplussed all the same,
Should I be wealthy enough to afford such an item,
I would be very hestitant to purchase, nay, I'd probably pass it by.
The pin diameters, the rough edges, just look dodgy to me.
Thanks for offering an opinion.
I guess Mr. Juzwin knows what he is doing.

Rod2222, From White's 'The Postal History of New South Wales' 1788-1901, that image is representative of a strike from the Type C65 devices issued to Melbourne post office and others in 1840.

Are you able to reveal the source of your image?
