Rod:

Not 'thrupenny'. That is 3d. 1 1/2d is either a 'penny hayp'ney' or 'three hay'pence'.

Query.
King George V Sideface Watermarks.

Holding stamps to a light, I was thinking 2 x 4d Olive stamps were Sc#Wmk 11
(which turns out they cannot be)

They must be Sc# Wmk 9 (2nd Wmk) however, I see the Wmk either split,
(half of one, top, and half of another bottom) or off to one side and near the edge.

Is this common? Any ideas how this occurred ?

Can / would any specialists confirm my appraisal please?

Sc#28 "Pale Red"
0028 1922 02p pale red bw 95-8e electro 8 thin two pence $100ea

Brusden White electro 8 "Thin Two pence" ? 95(8)e

Are "rough perfs" consistent with this issue?

PS: The right hand stamp appears to have the "rounded corner" on the cross , top of crown.
The compartment line ID is missing however.
