Unknown Tab?

16th Olympiad. Melbourne Australia.

My first guess is China. Anyone?
Anyone recognise the costumes perhaps?

My birth year. My mother collected the complete set of match box tops with each of the Olympic events for me, they are quite scarce (they're one of the items left to me in her will).

Nice to these catalogues Rod.

Australia seems to be very well provided with catalogues of all kinds.

Hi Nigel,
I agree, from what I can see, just about every facet of Philately is covered in depth by study and monographs.
Apart from my Cinderella Club, I don't see much on modern study say from the 2000's but I guess there are people tucked away somewhere doing that very thing.
Daunting stuff.

I would have at a rough guess, around 35 catalogues, and counting.

The one catalogue we haven't done ourselves is an extensive Australian States catalogue. The early federal period (1901-1912) has been covered but Gibbons does a fine job so maybe there's no need.

Yes, I would agree.
I'd like to see how Brusden White would tackle them though.
Possibly a life's work.
