Hi John, possible, can you clarify please with the item image. I have around 3,000 sidefaces, if I need to have an example of a particular flaw for reference, perhaps, but generally my own images, which also float around the internet, I share in the interest of the hobby, but generally give accreditation where it's known.
If something has offended you, show me, and I'll happily remove it.
If it is in regard to all your FUZZY photo bucket images, then no sadly, I have not copied en masse for those, sorry. They have caused some heartache.

No no nothing wrong Rod. Your thread here has solved many stamp questions. Especially the very hard to solve ones.
Just trying think of ways to replace the PB image mess on that thread.
It came to mind that you may have saved some of the image on that thread but do not understand if it would be a nightmare or not to retrieve them if saved.
Am even prepared to buy stamps at auction to replace the images PB has destroyed. Can always resell them again am thinking. Have 16 of the 38 images I need. Managed to find the KGV watermark image which was a great find for replacement.
Could just simply pay PB to release my images but it really offends me going in that direction.
But before I ask Bobby to open that thread up for me so I can do some work on it I would like to have the very most of the images concerned in hand 1st.
Edit: Walked away as I was called and missed your answer. Thanks for your reply Rod. All is good.kg5

John, care to share what PB is asking you to pay to release? I am getting "danger" (over limit) messages just about daily from them. Wasn't over limit at the time of posting. I havn't been back for years.
PS: Your thread is worth salvaging, very informative.

KGV, When I view that thread using Safari, Firefox, or Chrome, the images are blurred. But... they're not with Brave. You might download it and give it a try. It somehow blocks PB's code that blurs the images. I think I got all your images from that thread. You can download the zip here. |

Now that is extremely humbling. Go team SCF. Big thank you so much PostmasterGS and to you Aussie Al. Really did think posting this issue on your thread Rod would get results and look at what has happened. Thanks for the heads up mate. It really does pay to not give up on something. Even if it looks impossible. |

Hi Rod Quote: John, care to share what PB is asking you to pay to release? I am getting "danger" (over limit) messages just about daily from them. Wasn't over limit at the time of posting. Looks like PB is on the ropes. They have dropped their monthly prices on Intermediate. Per month Beginner $5.99 Intermediate $5(on special) Expert $12.99 This statement from Photobucket is just disgusting. The promise that stinks so much. How could anyone trust them? Can not find how long the signing up contract last for before you can stop paying monthly fee to them. At every turn with PB it stinks sadly. Quote: Unlimited Image Hosting Lifetime Storage Promise Now none of us has a need to go anywhere near that company that still is holding all of us to ransom. And saying sorry we wont do it again. Just give us your money. |

John, I recall Don's response, perhaps we were being naive, very little in life comes free. I just moved on immediately, albeit, I had all my images segregated and stored offline on HDD, so it didn't effect me, as much as those whom perhaps stored personal photos etc.
You appear sorted now, just treat this as old memory.

Yes Rod you have good wisdom.
I need to leave in the passed now where it belongs.
Nice to be going forward again.
Thanks again Rod. John |

I have been working through this informative 93 page thread over the past few days and got through 73 pages so far.
rod222 your Steiner page scans make for great viewing - I am enjoying studying your collection and have saved more than a few pages for reference purposes. I have recently returned to (Australian) stamp collecting after two decades and have learned a lot from this thread !
This is my first post here - hopefully I've got it right.
Thanks for sharing.

Well done you! ...that's what its there for. Yep. you have your post right. Settle in, and after 50 (genuine) posts, you can email me Steve, not sure how advanced you are, but I have Kilos of stamps, I no longer need and you (and Steve from US) are welcome to them. (Free) Lots have been donated by our member "Aussie Al" so I like to pass on his legacy. Enjoy your journey into Philately. |
