Looks to me like someone used those special scissors. Why, who knows.

I have seen a wavy die cut on the first and last stamps in a set of coils that look somewhat similar to this one. Maybe Peter will chime in with his thoughts.

Yes, but I do not think that is what this is. I believe sdtom is correct on this one.

Dale, the two coil ends above are well known by coil collectors. But we are looking for an explanation of the fancy cutting job on the sheet stamps above. That has not seen before as far as we know. I still think that sdtom has nailed it with his axplanation.

Generally pinking shear cuts are symmetrical so would think the valleys would look like the peaks i.e. a sine wave. Appears very straight-line so maybe an odd die cut but doubt mfg has anything but straight guillotines to trim paper. Thanks for input.
