Number 2 is from an unissued set of the Transcaucasian Federation of Soviet Republics, prepared April 1922, for famine relief.

Number 4 is Armenia, 1919 surcharge issue, stamps surcharged at Eriven (with dots after the 'K'). They can be found mint or cancelled to order, and are very rare genuinely postal used.

Small correction as I should have said Georgia as a member of the Transcaucasian Federation of Soviet Republics. They can be found perf (uncommon) or imperf. Herewith...

There are loads of these in the "number 1" category. They are all unissued and were released onto the market by French philatelists in 1923 after they were requisitioned in lieu of payment for the stamp order. The Soviets invaded Armenia and the stamps weren't needed in such quantities. They have also been forged and reprinted several times, and were genuinely issued in 1923 with numeral overprints.

Here are a few. Sorry but image optimiser doesn't do them justice. As you can see, there are quite a few shade vareties.

Thanks to you all - this is of great help as these stamps appeared 45 years ago (bought by my father) in glassine envelope (the 4)
