Had to do a little cleaning that involved a stack of envelopes/mail from the last 10+ years. While deciding what to keep and what to throw away, I noticed some number coils and made a little pile of them to share.

Some were used on junk mailings… Sometimes, junk mail CAN be GOOD mail! ;-)

Nells, some of those junk mail stamps are modern rarities. Some can be priced in the thousands. While most of us see the die cuts as just die cuts, there are all sorts of varieties possible. Also in the plate number combinations of the BEP printed stamps are quite some prizes possible!
I can not tell much of the die cuts ( your pictures are too small ) but one of your covers looks to have two plate number strips on it. That is a keeper.
And don't forget that some of these stamps are tagged. Tagging varieties are plentiful with these definitives that are often printed in the millions!

Peter

AHA! See?? Now you will all be looking at your junk mail more closely! ;-) If I were a stamp designer, I think I'd be insulted that most of my product was being tossed into the Circular File...

I am sure that dropped or slightly offset numbers are quite common for PNC

That is a very minor shift of the blue.
