Hello, all... First time poster here!

My son and I have recently gotten the bug and have joined the local club. We are by far the newest members and are the least experienced collectors.

Our club will be having a "Dirty Santa" meeting soon in which we will each bring gifts worth about $10.

I'm looking for some recommendations for "random" stamp gifts that experienced collectors with different backgrounds and interests might like.

Tongs? Stock pages? Stamps?

Thanks for your input...
Steve

Welcome, Steve.

What a great idea for a discussion. AND just in time for Christmas shopping lists.

Ten bucks, eh?

Q/ How about a packet of genuine Dennison hinges?

Hint: google Dennison hinges site:www.stampcommunity.org

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey

Edited to add: Okay, so maybe ten bucks was optimistic. I'll stick with consumables like hinges, mounts, glassine envelopes, etc, because even folks who don't use them know someone who does.

Buy Scott or Prinz black background mounts in strips or cut. Best size would be 25mm. They are the most often used. Any advanced collector would find a use for them.

Coffee mug with the picture of a stamp on it.
Maybe something like this:

or a $10 gift certificate to the APS store.

search for "Cafe Press coupons" before buying anything from them. Can usually get 25-30% off.

Thanks, all.

XNBer, great list. As it turns out, I did get some mounts and an ebay gift card for the Dirty Santa game, and I walked away with an album with some first day covers. Fun was had by all.

Thanks for the input, and Merry Christmas, all!

Steve
