ebay auctions only and only old Canadian stamps, when the price suits me. I bought no more than 11 stamps in 2016 since my WW collection is pretty large and inventory is my main sport. |

Just to provide clarity.
Last year, I purchased the most stamps at my local club auction held monthly. I'd say after that it was at shows, then online auction sites.
No mail order purchases or purchases from approvals or APS Circuits. |

Simple answer --For the past 20 years ,all my purchases have been at major public stamp auctions and in the next 20 years still plan to purchase all my lots at major stamp auctions .That will be 5 to 20 lots each year . Broken down as country collections or speciality studies lots and one or two bulk lots for entertainment and to work on in front of the t.v. . My vice in life. In a few years I will have a decent worldwide collection . |

Shows sound like fun, but I can't get to them. I buy from: 1. ebay2. I still buy some from Mystic and some Kenmore. 3. Nick Holt, a dealer in Tenn. who sends my approvals. 4. McMillan & Wife. 5. USPS Also bought a few things from a cousin who used to collect. That's about it. Don |

I go to shows once or twice a year. But my main sources of stamps are ebay and Stamps2Go. Sometime I buy directly from a dealer either bricks and mortar or via internet. Enjoy the hobby. Daniel |

For 2016 (the poll specified the past year) I mainly purchased/trade from other collectors, as I acquired several larger country collections last year from local collector-friends. For 2017 and most years BEFORE 2016, however, I would say it was roughly split between online auctions ( ebay primarily) and traditional auction houses, most within Stamp Auction Network. --Jim Wentzell stampguyaps177-681 |

The 2 local shows I went to. I usually come out with things I need for my collection and a slew of other small value collections/albums to incorporate into mine. |

I'll post a new poll for 2017 in December. If we post a new poll each year it will be interesting to see if we can detect any trends from year to year. Don |

I purchase mostly from APS Stamp Store and Stamps-2-Go. Then, I attend 2-3 local stamp shows per year and buy some.
