I've been meaning to write up a tutorial, but here's the basics:

- First I scan the stamps on a Vario stockpage at 1200dpi
- Apply an unsharp mask & contrast at 15% to the whole sheet
- Use PMSG to crop and deskew stamps
- Using Apple Keynote (PowerPoint works well too) I drag the Steiner page in to use as a template. Drag each stamp in and line them up. Type over the titles in a white font and then fill the background with black.

Sounds like a ton of work, but after you do a few pages you get really fast.

bakechad.

Do you print these out (lot of toner or ink) or strictly a digital format?

Angore -

I've never printed any of the pages, although they should print nicely on a good inkjet printer.

I have a Keynote file for each country or topic. After I have finished updating a country, I export the Keynote file to a PDF. Then I drag it to iBooks and it is now on every Apple device I own. So I have my entire collection at my fingertips anywhere I go with or without an Internet connection. It looks amazing on the new iPads with the Retina screens. For online stuff, I export the Keynote file to smaller JPGs for posting.

Keep in mind I'm using Apple stuff, but this process just as easily works with Windows, Linux and Android. Just insert PowerPoint or LibreOffice for Keynote. I actually started doing this process using LibreOffice and recently switched to Keynote.

I have a 14 volume scott international set and there doesn't appear to be any pages for Mongolia. Am I missing something or did they omit them from the International album? Is there a way of getting pics of the pages so I can structure blank ones?
