I have been spending a lot of time on my German stamps. Included here are a few Semi-Postals as well as some official stamps. Total I have mounted close to 600 German stamps. Originally I was not going to pursue Germany and started selling some of them. As I worked to identify them for sell, I really got into them and really enjoy the intricacies of Germany and German states. I did have one question. On the Officials page (last one featured)- The numerals of value 1922-1923. There are two 10M in Scott: #s O17 and O18. The description is exactly the same. Why do they have two separate numbers?

I looked for an older thread to add my German pages - but could not find anything that seemed appropriate, or it was very old so I could no longer reply.

Welcome to German stamps!

If you look at the top of those issues, the catalog identifies 2 watermarks, Wmk 126 for all the series except for SC O16 and O17. They have a wmk of 125.

O17 is Wmk 125 and O18 is wmk 126.

Scott is sometimes difficult to decipher.

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.

These were interesting to work on and a bit of a challenge- I also enjoyed reading the threads on here re: AMGOT or AMG (later). Some really great covers in one of the threads I found as I was investigating.
