Fakes And Forgeries "All China Is Red" 1968 Stamp?

recently I purchased a album with world stamps and in the China

section a LOT of stamps ALL CHINA IS RED was at the bottom

of the 1974 page with other cancelled CHINA STAMPS of that time span!

I have read articles relating to the ALL CHINA IS RED stamp from 1968

to discover many were infact FAKES & FORGERIES! Does anybody know?

that's my question the stamp in my posession has a line check over

the number (8) see lot (bottom stamp) ALL CHINA IS RED..

edw kim, that picture is not big and/or sharp enough to tell. Can you please show the stamp bigger?

The black line through the denomination raises a question about legitimacy. Usually you see something like that when the stamp image is reproduced, to prevent its use as a real postage stamp.

From a major auction house in Hong Kong. Maybe Kelleher & Rogers.

Opinion:
That's not a real stamp, a cut out from a magazine.
You can see up close half tone printing outside the design.

Hi all,
Places like "China International Coin Company Ltd" (Hong Kong) & others make these sorts of display stamps for boxed books etc. for the tourists & also some for special events as give away's.
I have one of their large presentation boxed books for the National Peoples Congress, produced after the event ;), with similar stamps including the edges looking like yours, but no lines through the numbers. I'm still not sure if those stamps are the real deal of not, but I do know the ones with the line are not the real deal.
If you do an image search on the company name you may find more ;)

Good luck for the year.....Jad
