We've had a few discussions here about desk lamp recommendations.
I purchased this lamp in the 2015 and after two years use, I want to share/recommend it. Of course, I have no financial interest/gain in the product.

I really love this little lamp. When the gooseneck is bent and the LEDs are parallel to the desk, the lamp is about 10.5" tall.
The base is about 3" in diameter and 1" thick. It's also weighted, so it doesn't tip nor does it easily bump around. The brushed aluminium finish is attractive.
I hate warm/yellow light. I like all my bulbs to be "daylight" and on the blue end of the scale. Of course, this is an LED lamp and the light is nice and white, so there is no distortion of color when looking at stamps.
By the way, it's only about $30

Do you have any idea on the lumens? It is rated at 3W and from what I can tell it would not be that bright. I like lots of light so I have a similar style (not goose neck) with a CFL 100W equivalent bulb. |

I have a flexible OttLite that I got at my local Sam's Club for $18. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd one while they still have them. |

@Angore: sorry, I don't know any details other than the ones on the box/website. @Art: I agree OTT lights are awesome. Thanks Rod Never pass up a good "yard sale" as we call them in my town. |

That one is sweet Don! I am looking for something like that to replace my constantly sagging similar (but old 1980's style) swivel arm illuminated magnifier.

BeeSee, Beware the cheaper fluorescent models. While they may appear more cost-effective to purchase they are actual more expensive; the total cost of ownership after a few years is much higher. This is due not just to the higher cost of operation but also to the costly, proprietary round fluorescent bulb. The LED models will last for years and years with no need for bulb replacement. Don

I will definitely be looking for an LED model. I like the cap on top to allow usage as a regular desk lamp and keep dust off the glass. Thanks Don. |

I have a clip on swivel lamp base with 100 watt for overhead viewing then when I want an up close view I have my swivel ottlite that I get up close views with. I turn it sideways and put it a little away from stamp then get my dome magnifying glass.

Nice one, Don.
Personally, I prefer an actual BASE over a CLAMP, but that's just me. |
