Hello: Looking for some help on this stamp's color. It is a #16, wmk 20, p14., bluish paper. It doesn't seem to be red brown or orange brown. I don't have a gauge for brown rose. Could it be or am I off track altogether?

On the scan it seems red brown to me.

Color is difficult to judge from online scans as every scanner, monitor and human eye "sees" an object differently depending on settings and even how and where a stamp is kept... but here are a few colors that are examples of what can be found.

I have thousands of penny reds, and that is still a nice image to have.
