Hi Monnaie,
Your two 3F60 Dimension stamps are from the 1926 set by Daussy.

Hi clifhiker,
Your two vertical Quittances stamps are from the 1891 set by Tasset.
The two lowest values, 10c & 25c, were printed in a single colour.
The three higher values, 50c, 1fr & 2fr, were printed in two colours with the value in black. |

Hi Nigel! Do you have a reference for that? Because Forbin has them as an 1892 set ... and I don't see Tasset's name on them nearly so clearly as on his other stamps .. I DO see two names that look different than TASSET ... but I submit that I might just have a pair of smudged stamps and it truly is Tasset, even though it's in a different location on the two stamps. |

Hi clifhiker, Yes, the 1891 date and the Tasset reference are from my old Yvert et Tellier catalogue, Catalogue des Timbres Fiscaux et Socio-Postaux de France (1990). It's old but still much newer than Forbin (1915)! |

good stuff Rod! Do you have similar info on G Daussy? He's proving surprisingly elusive.
Is Tasset's Marianne vignette the first one? Or was there someone before him?
Also do you have a citation for that bio? I cannot find that information anywhere. Thanks! |

TIP : to find similar just copy some text EXACTLY as shown in the image, and Google. I cannot find the exact link, was a while ago. Try Also do you have a citation for that bio? Unknown. I only meddle around the margins of French Revenues, I research on any stamps that pass my desk. |

This is a very helpful post. Did anyone find any info on values? I came across one of the 10c gray 1892 items and am curious. Thank you |

Do you mean the 1891 Quittances? A franc in my 1990 Yvert, so on the low side. |

Thank you and sorry I wasn't very clear. This was the previous post/stamp I was referring to, and it says 1892. The one I found is also hand canceled but not on a cover or receipt, if that matters |

I think that's the date in Forbin, rather than the date given by Yvert. |
