The Mystic Heirloom Album is definitely a great value. As you collect, you will find you need new binders since the pages fill up the binders without stamps and will get fuller as you go.

Now, Mystic will send you quite a number of offers for 6 months or so and may send some stamps on approval. It definitely a low price so to encourage collecting.

I noticed this thread because I was trying to decide how to update my old Minuteman album that stopped at 1979. A whole new one would have been over 150 bucks and buying supplements would have been worse. Then this thread came along and got around to hitting the minute man website.

I ordered the abridged book for my son (11) who's just starting out and at 15$ for a 3" thick blue binder, it's got plenty of meat to work with and the price is an excellent value to enter the hobby.

I also ordered the Heirloom book for myself, figuring that I would just use the 1980-current pages of it. At I didn't read the fine print and was very surprised when 3 binders showed up. This country printed lots of stamps from 1980 to present, but I digress. At 45$ (plus shipping), it's a great book.

What I don't understand why it's on off-white paper.

Don't know Mystic, but off-white is usually easier on the eyes - looking at a Davo page is like looking into a fluorescent light.

You have an interesting ebay web page. I would like to sell some of my stamp doubles someday. I saw your musical Iron Maiden and Dokken items; check out the new David Bowie stamps at virtualstampclub.com

GeoffHa I have my Switzerland in Davo albums, and I love it. I have tried what you suggest, and do not think looking at Davo pages is bad, nor is looking at a fluorescent light. I believe it depends on ones eyes?

CTH350,

You just can't go wrong with the Heirloom. As you progress in the hobby, you will probably need more binders. Please consider the Premium Heirloom binder and jacket. You will be amazed at the difference in quality between the two binder binder types.
