India, native states: Faridkot. Uncirculated stamp of 1878. 1/2 Anna. The text says: "Nim Anna" (1/2 Anna in center). "Tikat I riasat I arikot samvat 1934" (Stamp of the principality of Faridkot in the year of 1934 of the Samwat-Era = 1878).

Probably because it is an uncirculated stamp?

Uncirculated = unissued

These used to be listed by Scott. From the 1901 Scott catalog (All the world in one small volume!), pages 331-332:

By the 1904 catalog they had mostly been delisted, as seen on page 345:

(This in contrast to the recent unrelated thread which wanted information published from only the past 10 years!)

The information is taken from the Michel catalogue. There's no number neither, because it's uncirculated. Additional information says, that on january, 1st of 1887 the agreement between the principality and imperial indian post took place. The former Faridok's issued stamps became useless. First, some rests of them were sold.... Then ,the unused Mi.nr. 2I (of 1886 in bigger format)and some additional values in different colours (with the disign shown by you) were added. Later, some stamps printed in lithography were produced for collection purpuses.
Maybe someone else knows more about it.
