Last week I ordered, from Lighthouse itself, the first two volumes of its USA hingeless album. After my order arrived, I discovered that I needed to order some additional individual album pages. I don't want to go into too many details, but I do want to compliment Lighthouse on their excellent customer service. Their sales clerk spent a lot of time with me over the phone and helped me figure out exactly what I needed. She really went way beyond the call of duty. I recommend Lighthouse and its products very highly.

Last year I accidentally damage a mount on a page, I call Lighthouse Canada to order a new one, they send me a page free of charges. Amos don't even reply to customers. |

Glad to hear this. It is a real contrast with my experience a couple years back. I have to wonder if the complaint I and others made to the home office resulted in an attitude adjustment.
The Lighthouse US album is indeed nice. The problem for me is their requirement of pairs on all the coils, including many of the pricey ones. |

The requirement for coils to be in pairs really is a very old one. Coils are easier identified and certified when they are in pairs ( or longer ).

It appears to be impossible to design an album that pleases everyone.
Lighthouse has blank album pages of various types and colors, with and without pockets of all sizes, so one can tailor a Lighthouse printed album to suit one's individual needs.
I don't want to seem a cheerleader for Lighthouse, but I am really impressed with them so far.
I also love Scott albums. I just wish Scott had hingeless versions. |

I too had a very good experience with lighthouse products. I had ordered a luxury stockbook with those leather cover and metal corners through a representative of lighthouse and received a damaged product, the leather cover was torn and looked very shabby.
Now for the price I paid, this was not justified, so I talked to them and send them pictures of the stockbook. They forwarded the same to lighthouse Germany and to my surprise I got a replacement directly from lighthouse.
Now this is called top notch customer service. |

area66: I have the Lighthouse "Perfect DP turn-bar" binders. They are very nice. Oddly, though, the matching slipcases are about an inch too deep for the binders. But that's okay. |

The binders come with a small box that about 1" deep, I leave them in the binders, so the album fit flush with the slip case The plastic bar with pins are very useful, that allow to open the album anywhere and keep the pages in the 2 separated parts grouped and align |

area66: Yes, you are correct, the binders + slipcases came with little cardboard "box" inserts that I can put into the bottom of the slipcases to prevent the binders from sliding too deeply into the slipcases. But the little "boxes" tend to fall out when I remove the binders from the slipcases. I suspect that the little "boxes" were intended to be discarded by the buyer.

Once you gone have stamps and extra pages in the album, they will be very tight fit in the slip and you just have to not push them to the bottom, I have to press my album with my fingers to close them to insert them in the slip cover |
