I would guess either J32 (1894) or J39 (1895). Only other choice of same design would be J30 (1894), but the color for J30 is vermilion while the other two are listed as deep claret. The color of your stamps seem to fit the latter color. J32 has no watermark while J39 has a double-line USPS watermark.
Added: Don't know if this will help or not, but the CV for J32 is $10 as opposed to $1 for J39.

Awesome!
Thank you for your insight-what has me jumping up and down, per se is the Aug 21 1897 post mark. page 402 of the 2016 Specialized Cat has J43 with a date of EKU as the same. They cat at $75.00 a piece--if we could only see the water mark---

91 - I'm confused - what are you excited about? J43 is a 30c stamp. Yours are 2c stamps - they aren't J43??

yeah my fault, jumped to early, I seen the date first and not the numeric value. Still, not bad for a 0.25 stamp club cover--

I still think J32 is far more likely than J30. That being said, I must admit that I once wishfully submitted a stamp for certification hoping that it would prove to be a relatively rare variety. As one might expect, I was disappointed. Hope you have better luck!

That's easy enough to check since J29 and J30 fluoresce under long wavelength ultraviolet light and J31 and J32 don't according to Durland's. Also, J29 and J30 are vermillion where J31 - J37 are deep claret. If it were a plate block it would really easy since plate 34 was only used to produce J30.

J30

J32
