wert, Fox River is a Post Office that operated in Gaspé, Québec, from 1852/on--00112 (Red: Canada Post Offices 1755/1895, Frank W. Campbell).....googled it and no results so I do not think it exists anymore but the code 00112 remains a mystery to solve.

Rene

note: Author specifies "/on" means the office existed until 1895 at least--many still are operating.....numerals 1-to-0 indicate comparative dollar volume of yearly income

The Canada Post records record Fox River as having opened on 6 July 1852 with Jean St. Croix as Postmaster. From 1 November 1923, Fox River mail was handled from the Riviere-au-Renaud post office.

Riviere-au-Renaud

it's Rivière-au-Renard

and renard is the french word for fox

so Fox River is the English name for Rivière-au-renard

You are a good translator, area66.....congrats and you are ""right"" !

note: I am so used to working in French and English that my mind failed to translate Fox River !I am certain they still have a PO.

Rivière-au-Renard is a village in the Gaspé Peninsula, in the province of Quebec, Canada, part of the Town of Gaspé
