Been struggling, trying to find these in Michel. Can't find the overprint for the Danzig, and Can't find the Saverne libre V overprint.
Also, I did find an auction for the Saverne series that said only 15 copies of the 42 were printed (is that correct??).

I don't think these are officially recognised stamps. at least not the Saverne stamp.

I've never heard of stamps from Saverne.

They don't seem to be listed with the many other local RF overprints in my old Michel Europa-Katalog West.

I do see a set on the Raritan auction site which they claimed were expertised. However, these have a different font and their large "V" is quite different in shape.

I found the Saverne in my Michael - under Alsace. They are described as unauthorized overprints from 1944. This auction with expertised stamps, 20 including yours, ended at 17,- Euros.

chaulkdust,

The 42 Pf value of the Saverne overprint is rarer that the rest, but not significantly so. All are pretty common.

If you decide to part with it, let me know. It's one of two values I'm missing from the set.
