Hi,

Does anyone know whether there is colour missing (yellow) from the stamp or if there were different versions?
Cant seem to find any info on the plain blue one.

Thanks-

From another forum (for anyone interested...)
That's a different printing. Values/designs of 1,2,5 and 10 cents in this series come in two different sets of colors (of which the latter easily is mistaken as 'missing color' error unless you have the catalogs). Like this:

Go figure why they chose to implement a second run without specific colors, but it definitely grabs the attention if side-by-side.

In a magazine article (either Gibbons SM or Stamp magazine) I read a few years ago that these stamps with "missing colors" were said to have been printed in fewer colors for booklets or coils (possibly both as time has dimmed my memory).

The Scott catalog listing for this issue has a note saying that coils of the 1c, 2c, 5c, & 10c were issued in two colors only.
