This is a Russian stamp that I would like to exhibit in my "Northern Circumpolarities" exhibit early in April. It is Scott #2259 issued as part of the Lakes and Rivers series in 1959. I am most interested in Rivers that empty into the Arctic Ocean, i.e. the Ob-Irtysh, the Lena and the Yenesei or Yenesey. I have checked pretty well on the Internet and don`t have the "R" or USSR Scott catalogues near me right now. I have tried transliteration but am not very good at it. Can anybody help out with this for me? Thank you!
PS I have tried twice to upload my image using different file names, but don`t see any indication that it has uploaded here.

Hi Kannik,

While you work out how to get the picture loaded could you confirm the face value and colour of the stamp?

I think you've quoted the wrong catalogue number as in my 2009 catalogue Sc. #2259 is a "Luna 3" space flight.

Kannik, go to http://stampworld.com and under USSR 1959 they mention the set and the names of the rivers.

Sounds like you are referring to Scott # 2274, 25k dark blue, Lena River, Siberia. Someone has the set available on ebay, search under the Russian stamps category for: river 1959
There are also several offers of #2274 on Delcampe. According to these listings, its Michel catalog # is 2302.
