I'm building an Expo 67 collection now. I was there, a rather cranky 11-year-old. The crowds were massive. My biggest thrill was touchinh the Mercury capsule in the US pavilion...

Here's the first three of pages...

The bird... Here's the story:

Guyana recognized a good thing when it swore at them, so it issued a few stamps saluting Millie...

(I have them, but no scanner at the moment; here's an image I found on-line. Love that the swearing macaw is a Christmas stamp....)

MichaelPat, that is a nice collection.

I didn't attend Expo67 but my parents did and brought
back some souvenirs including these FDCs.

The one below was issued for Tunisia Day.

Why would it be considered a Canadian stamp? I only see United Nations printed on all examples shown (no mention of Canada).

Well Jenny2U
I wrote almost a Canadian stamp.

Think about it. The denominations are in Canadian currency, They could only be used from the UN pavilion in Montreal for the duration of the fair AND there is a maple leaf on the first four stamps.

That's gotta count for something.

OK then. Grudgingly I guess it can be qualified as a sort of wannabe Canadian stamp

UN stamps are UN stamps. Not Canadian. Released to celebrate - and be used at - the UN pavilion.

I think I'm being taken literally here. Sorry for the confusion.
