Canadian Moose Covers

These covers were sent in double layer envelopes to get two different pictorial postmarks from two different towns each.

The first card initially stopped in Manning AB, The Land of the Mighty Moose; you can see the postmaster corrected the date by hand. One week later it landed in Nova Scotian Broad Horns Country where it was sent home.

My second card went to Burns Lake first. The Burns Lake postmaster took it upon herself to mark it twice. She made an error with the date. Then to Hudson Bay SK where they ed up making an impressionable postmark and it looks like they messed up the date too.

what's your next cancel collection Consist of?

I actually like that the postie marked the dates with a pen. thats the goods right there.

next I have some $8 Grizzly Bears. Then ill use the $10 Blue Whale to tour the deep arctic I think.

yeah if Manning's year goes to 2007, chances are it goes to 2017. maybe they havent used it in ten years!

in my humble opinion, the cancels on the first card, to AB and NS, are pretty solid.

the cancels on the second card are total trash, one's too dark and one's too light.
