Amos Digital Offerings On Android

The Linn's Stamp News app launches and goes to a white screen. I never seen any issues.

The Scott catalog app loads to a 404 error.

Is Amos once abandoning their digital offering?

I installed the app and see a white screen. I would suspect some general IT issue.

The coin world app is doing the same thing.

I think Amos or Olive changed the URL of their server, because none of the links in my old emails work to load the web version of Linn's.

I tried to sign up for the "free digital edition" on their website and got an error.

I think the app may still be working on my old iPad. I'll need to check later today.

As for the catalog, things load fine on the web page, but the app throws a 404 error. It's been 3 years now and still no offline access for the catalog. Whet the ---, Amos?

If I leave at the white screen, it eventually displays a bad url error at olive software.

I seem to still be able to get the iPad app to work.

Same problem connecting to the eCat I purchased last year. I went back to Scott's website, logged in again and selected the eCat from My Purchases and that corrected the issue.

They changed the organization on the server, but failed to put in redirects. They fail web design 101.

I figured with a 404 error it was something as simple as a URL change. But with the native apps on the Android and probably iOS, I assume the URL is hard-coded into the app. So we're going to need a new app to be released. The last release of the app on Android was 2014. On iOS, the Linn's that works but the Scott catalogue app does not. Steam 404 error.

I checked back later this week. It is now next week. Still no fix.

God, I wish we could all just move away from Scott numbering so we're not dependent on this inept company for our stamp referencing needs.

For Ukraine issues, is Scott considered the premier authority? For example, Stanley Gibbons is a better source for Britain and Commonwealth

For Ukaine, MICHEL is the numbering system of choice. But I do also have a US collection.

So, an update on this. I got an email from Amos that they received beta copies of new apps for Android about a month ago. So I emailed them a few days ago asking if they had an update on this and their response was "Not at this time."

Talk about fumbling a digital offering.

It still does not work for me. It is obviously not a priority for them.
