In a post back before Christmas
https://goscf.com/t/52133 about local post fakes and reprints I mentioned that JW Scott attempted to obtain the printing plates for old local post stamps in order to reprint the stamps for collectors. I was looking for something else today and came across my postal card with a printed ad on the back from JW Scott seeking "Plates, Stones, Dies, or Electrotypes from which any Local or Express post stamps were printed" and illustrating some of the Scott forgeries.
