This Jaypur cover is from 1888, not from 1700s.

The vermilion intaglio mark is a Postage Paid pre-stamp seal of Jaypur State Post Office of
Malarna Dungar (26.2297°N 76.5351°E) (now located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan) which was in the Sawai Madhopur postal line, functioning under Jaypur Head PO.

The seal reads,

Shriramji
Mahsul Li
ya Dak ji
Malarna

It literally means,

Shriramji
Postage/Charge Paid
Post of
Malarna

I am not posting the exact Devnagari letterings because the site software does not support them.

There are a great many of these things on sale: most collectors of the Indian States accumulate them. Very hard to sell!
