I was recently adding to my modern Barbados pages and happened across 2 issues with multiple date varieties, and I wanted to see if anyone else had done any work on understanding and collecting these. They are:

Barbados 1985 Marine Life issue
-Wmk 373, 16 values 1c to $10
-then listed is: Wmk 384, 1986(?), same 16 values (question mark is in the catalog).
-A note after the listing says 'Some inscribed "1986". also exist with "1987", "1988" and with no date

Barbados 1994 Ships issue
-Wmk 373, 14 values 5c to $10, not dated
-note after indicates 5c-45c, 70c, 90c, $10 exist inscribed "1997"
-note continues 5c, 10c, 45c exist "1998"
-note also lists 10c, 45c, $10 exist inscribed "1999"
-a 1996 series is also listed, wmk 384, 12 values, incscribed "1996"

I am using a 2007 Scott catalog (I know, I know), and I wondered these things:
-has anyone tried to put together a comprehensive collection of either of these issues, with all the 'date' varieties?
-if so, are there any differences to what is listed here? I believe there may be addition values with certain dates that are not included in this catalog listing
-How would you go about creating a page for these? I use the Steiner pages, and had thought of just printing duplicate pages for the main issue and then crossing out any varieties not known to exist to show clearly what is missing and what spaces will never be filled.

I should note that you may need a microscope or strong magnifier to clearly read these dates. My magnifying glass was not much help.

I searched the forum and was not able to find a topic on this already listed. Any thoughts any of you might have (other than 'is he crazy?') would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan,
Does this help?
Stanley Gibbons 1993

I sometimes print multiple Steiner pages to accomodate varieties.

Thanks, rod222. This is helpful as it indicates specifically what should exist for the Marine Life issue dated 1987. I appreciate the help!
