Stamp mount cross reference tool at http://www.stampsmarter.com/feature...rossRef.html

This tool allows you to enter the stamp mount height you are interested in and it returns all major mount manufacturer (Scott/Prinz, Showgard, Lighthouse, Hawid, and Uni-Safe ) part numbers, dimensions, description, pack size, and price.

Feedback welcome. Note: I am still adding images for a few of the mounts. If anyone has images of the missing ones and can contribute them please post in this thread.
Don

Very cool! Stamp Smarter has become a very valuable philatelic resource. Thank you for developing it.

Now this is a tool that I really could have used a few years ago. What took you so long??? Just joking, of course. Thanks yet again!

Here is a sneak peek at the new US Stamp Mount Finder;

http://www.stampsmarter.com/feature...USScott.html

Note: I only have mount database loaded for Scott numbers #1 through #1419. If you select a Scott number higher than 1419 it will return 'Mount data not loaded yet!" message.

I am showing mounts that match on height and any 'greater than and or equal to' width. This captures the precut mounts and the strips; it should be assumed that wider lengths (strips) will have to be trimmed.

It also contains 'album dimensions'. These are useful for folks who design their own album pages; you can use these dimensions to draw the boxes on any US album page for that Scott number.

Obviously this is still under development but this means that any suggestions for improvement are easier to design in. Please feel free to offer input. In the meantime, I will continue to populate the mount dimension database. It will probably take me a few more weeks to get all US stamp done.

Hey Don -

This is great work. I use Showgard and Scotts mounts but their mount guides are very poor on accuracy. I hope your's is spot on as I have wasted a significant amount of $$ with Showgard trying to find the correct mounts.

Again, THANKS!

PS: I thought you were a Moderator. Did you move your own post to the "more appropriate forum"? Just wondering?

No, I was going to leave it in the Main forum for a few days but I think Kirk had other ideas!
